Though this is fairly intentional - it's supposed to push you into dealing with the CC dungeons without actually forcing you to. First time I killed the final boss tier I didn't even figure out her gimmick strong general skills and party will work, you don't have to tailor specifically for the bosses if you don't want to.Īt max infestation the regular dungeons become like 50% CC packs, except it's a small subset, all easy, so it gets fairly monotonous. They're strong, but not nearly unbeatable for parties going in blind. The bosses avoid the pass/fail gimmicks that vanilla bosses use, as well. CC enemies and most bosses are a step up in difficulty that DD sorely needs. A bit of busywork and 1750 gold, basically. You can easily loot enough to largely ignore it. You don't need anything from it to beat the game- Just new stuff to tinker with and some of it feels more advanced-strategy to make better use of (not a bad thing)- but as much as I love DD's music, the music for it was way too vampire-generic-opera that I didn't like it that much. The additional story is short, but alright.
